Hi,
I bought an older Perlick Kegerator off craigslist recently. The model number appears to be 1002a-ul.

The ideal draft beer tempature is between 36-38. I put a glass of water in the kegerator and the average temp gets down to only about 42-43 which is too warm. I did some trial and error type tests, the kegerator has no problem cooling the inside down to 35 and up near the cold air vent to 30 degrees. The problem is the kegerator compressor just turns back on to cool everything down at 55?!
The kegerator isn't trying to restart itself and fails, it just wont turn back on until the thermostat hits 55/56ish. I confirmed this by letting it cool down completely and waiting for it to turn off. I then opened the doors on the machine and waited about 45 seconds for it to hit 55/56 and it immediately turned back on. So it appears to cool just fine, it just doesn't want to turn on until the temp gets too high leaving the average tempature too high.

So my question is, whats the problem? Is it salvageable? Is there a way to adjust the thermostat or something?

Any help would be appreciated

Adrian

The a/c in my home makes a crazy loud screeching noise whenever it kicks on and only in the night time hours. It starts about 10pm and stops once the sun comes up around 7. We are assuming it has something to do with the the temperature outside since it only does it at night. I recorded the sound to play to the repair men because when they would come over during the day it wouldn't do it and they never could find anything. Once they heard the noise they started replacing things they thought were wrong.
So far they have replaced the capacitor, motor, and the orfice which helped a little bit. No one can quite figure it out. Yesterday the unit stopped cooling so I called another a/c guy over he said the unit needed to be charged and that the condensor fan was spinning the wrong way? He replaced that with a new fan. Well last night the noise was almost unbearable, high pitched loud screeching and knocking. Kept us up all night! Anyone out there know what this might be so I can rest already!! Thanks

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself

1. You believe you are right about something and the other person is wrong:
We all believe we are right and others are wrong! What are you right...

1. You believe you are right about something and the other person is wrong:
We all believe we are right and others are wrong! What are you right about?

· how to raise children properly
· how materialistic the world is
· the best way to educate children

We are often unaware of how often we judge ourselves to be right about something, while judging others to be wrong. But it follows that if I am labouring under the assumption that I am right, so is everybody else.

If I believe strongly that I am right about something, I run the risk of coming into conflict with someone else who believes him- or herself to be right about that same thing. If we hold opposing views on that subject and insist on defending our 'truth', anger is the result.

2. You believe your image is under attack
Anger results from our belief that our image is under attack. Here are some examples:

· someone says something that suggests to us that they perceive us as weak
· our status - as parents, managers or leaders - is challenged
· we are humiliated

If we have a low opinion of ourselves or a fragile ego based upon superficial values, we leave ourselves open to image attacks. We are constantly en garde, waiting for the next person to call our bluff and challenge our image. Anger is the mechanism we use to claw back what is left of our ego, when such challenges occur. It re-establishes us as the dominant one, the one with control and in control. The after effects of angry outbursts arising out of image attacks matter less to us at the time than the need to reclaim our status.

3. A sense of loss or grief
The loss could be the break up of your parents' relationship, the death of a loved one, or the loss of childhood innocence. It can be hard to express these feelings: we don't want to be seen as weak or fearful.
Anger can be a cover for fear, sadness or disappointment arising out of those feelings of loss. You feel you will eventually lose the people and things that are important to you. When it feels like history is about to repeat itself you protect yourself from the pain of loss by covering up with a show of aggression and bravado. It can be a case of 'let's do it to them before they do it to us', rejecting another before they reject you.

4. Feeling inadequate/inferior to others

· anger as a way of remaining a victim
· anger as a way of avoiding the truth

Anger can hide the fact that we feel inferior to others, inadequate or stupid. Angry outbursts are a smoke screen. They distract others from our sense of inadequacy. We put on a show of toughness and capability and let others know we are not to be messed with.

5. Anger as the only response we know

It's a rare parent that makes the decision to teach their children to manage their anger. It's ironic that we ensure our children learn to read and write, but very little conscious guidance is given to them on dealing with their anger. In the absence of such learning, they pick up what they can from the significant adults in their lives. If those adults react to everyday situations with anger, irritation or annoyance, it should come as no surprise when their children do the same. It is therefore crucial that adults model positive behaviour when it comes to expressing anger and also that they support their children in managing their own anger.

I checked the incoming power - fine. Checked the door latch switches - fine. The power is getting to electronic control board. I'm stuck there. Since there seems to be no life at all to the dishwasher, does this mean that the problem is on the electronic control board or could it be something else?

I have to press Cancel to clear all cycle selections, and then press Start. I can then select a cycle since a change is allowed the first minute of operation. My guess is a bad electronic control board. Any other ideas?

When I look up the part # it is superceded and is labeled as being maytag. I called maytag recall center and they said fridge was built there at the same time as the recalled items and added it was not there problem as kenmore should have done recall. Sears/Kenmore reads off a list and says They didnt recall it. Does any one have advice. The fire burned compressor plugs and capacitor. So repair is out of question. I feel maytag should stand behind their junk.

I apologize in advance for my ignorance, but I have a pretty annoying problem with my refrigerator. This morning I discovered my milk was not quite cold, and this even I found the same with the beer I drank. I have a whirlpool fridge, model # eb9shkxvq 01 and am a little stumped as to what the problem would be. I don't think it's completely broken, but it's just BARELY keeping it cold. It's a model where the freezer is below the fridge portion, and the freezer still works great. It's blowing freezing air, where I can feel no air circulation in the refrigerator portion of the unit. There is nothing blocking the vent in the back, and I have unplugged it and plugged it back in. Any advice? Thanks in advance!
