Default Remove hood fan use wall fan?
Model Number: NS6530SS   Brand: Nutone   Appliance Age: Less than 1 year

I have a 12 year old Nutone range hood "skeleton" - no fan or motor - with a Nuton WF-35 external wall mounted exhaust fan. I need to replace the range hood with a stainless steel model, but Nutone doesn't make "skeletons" anymore. Can I take the fan blades off of a new Nutone NS6530SS and wire the switch to my existing external wall fan? Both the new Nutone and the wall fan have 1.9 amp motors and about the same CFM of 200. Or other suggestions for reusing my existing wall fan with a new basic stainless steel hood? Thanks.
