Question Whirlpool dehumidifier doesn't draw humidity
Model Number: AD50USS2   Brand: Whirlpool   Appliance Age: 1 – 5 years

I have a Whirlpool dehumidifier model # AD50USS2 that was purchased two years ago this month (October 2009). It has had intermittent problems with the overflow cutoff switch. But NOW ... the unit runs but does not draw humidity. The bucket stays empty. I have cleaned the filter and inspected the coils. The front coils are rusty on the sides, while the back coils are not. The coil fins do not appear to be clogged with dust/dirt, etc. Is there any hope for this unit or is it time for a new one?

Thank you!
