Default Norge side-by-side, freezer side leaks

When I remove everything out of the bottom of the freezer, I see some coils about 8 inches from the bottom. The coils are dripping water and the water pools at the bottom of the freezer and turns to ice. Eventually the ice gets too high and then the water leaks out of the freezer onto the kitchen floor.

I've searched the web, and it sounds like there's supposed to be some kind of drain where condensation goes, but I don't see any such drain hole on my freezer. The floor of the freezer is solid, there's no holes.

Does anyone have any other tips that may help me resolve this issue?

Thanks !!

Hi,

The defrost drain hole is located directly below the coils you see frosting up.

You may need to empty the freezer and remove the back plate that covers the front of the coils to see it once all the ice has been defrosted.

Thanks !! I'll go home and check that out.

Would you recommend unplugging the fridge to let it thaw out, or pouring hot water down the drain hole? Those were some of the suggestions I found over the web.

Thanks.
