I don't know if this is the right place to ask but here goes. I have a Moen model 7385C pullout kitchen faucet 3 hole model and I had problems with the pullout hose leaking which I have a part from Moen on order. After I had another major plumbing problem related to the main water pipe from the wall which I replaced I am not getting any hot water now coming out of my moen faucet. When I take the handle off then I get a little bit of the hot water dripping out. I have no problem with the cold side only the hot water. Is there a part inside the faucet that I need to replace. And if there is what is the name and or model of the part. I have gone to the moen website and have downloaded all the pdf files for this faucet after I had the pull out hose problem....I would like to contact moen if I can sometime tomorrow and order the part if I can....I would rather try and fix the faucet than put out money to replace it especially if it is an easy fix...

Hi, Try this,
First clean out all the stuff from under your sink your gonna need room to work. Under the sink are your supply lines where your faucet connects to your house piping. Usually there are valves to shut off the water to the faucet for repair or replacement of the faucet (If not you will need to go to your hot water tank and shut off the hot water line there). Shut off the hot side supply line under the sink, leave the cold line on. Disconnect the faucet supply line on the hot side. Place the disconnected faucet hot supply line in a bucket, have someone turn on the faucet to the middle position where normally warm water would come out of the faucet. This should allow the cold water to run out of the hot supply line and flush out any debris that may have been in the line during your last repair. After you flush this, place a rag over the house hot supply line and open the valve and make sure you have good flow. Now reconnect the faucet supply line to the house line and open the valve. Check for leaks. On the end of the faucet spout there is an aerator. carefully remove the aerator and clean out any debris found in there, then turn on hot water to the faucet, check the flow, replace the aerator, and hopefully your problem is solved. ![]() If your unsure about anything in this procedure do not atempt it, a few wrong moves on old pipes and valves could end up leaving you in the middle of a "Plumbers Nightmare" Good Luck, Killa |
