Dryer Hums/does not spin
Model Number: 41788042700 Brand: Kenmore Appliance Age: 1 – 5 years
My Kenmore Electric Dryer hums when the start button is pressed, but nothing else happens. The drum is not spinning. Any suggestions?

Hi,
The dryer belt may have broke and you are hearing the motor running or the humming maybe a stuck motor. Take it apart and if you find that the dryer belt is fine try to turn the motor by hand to see if it's free. There maybe something stuck in the blower keeping the motor from turning.
