Default Just purchased a Haier Dishwasher . . .

Hello!

My new Haier dishwasher has just arrived and husband got it installed today. The problem is, I cannot decipher how to run the thing! The dishwashers I've ran just required a turn of the knob to set it where I wanted. And the thing ran/worked just fine.

These new dishwashers are all electronic with instructions that do not make sense to me. Besides that, it will give a list of how to select a cycle, then it states I'm to push the "start/reset" button. There IS no start/reset button!!!!

Believe the problem is it was written by some Chinese person in China expecting it to make sense and does not!!

So, here I am with a brand new dishwasher and cannot figure out how to make it work. <sigh> The model is DWL4035. Can anyone out there help me?

Hi,

Maybe you got the wrong maual?
Have you tried asking the manufacture?
http://www.haieramerica.com/appliances/dishwashers

All the manuals I saw did mention a start/reset button.

Hello Jeff1!

First of all, I'm in the U.S.

I'm not sure about anything at this point in time. I planned to contact the manufacturer tomorrow when they should be open.

This is the 2nd dishwasher I have received from my original purchase, which was June 27. I could not get the first one to operate either.

Yet, I have put that down to my ignorance. And yes, the other manual had mentions of a start/reset button as does this one. In fact, page 20 of the current manual has several mentions to the start/reset button. That is difficult to do when neither one had a start/reset button.

To complicate matters, the first one had 2/3rds of the LED light missing. This one also has some missing, but not quite as much.

This morning I tried to get to work. It started, the LED lit up, and then there was a noise (which I could feel by holding the handle), which I figured was the pump trying to empty the unit. Yet, because there had not been any water in the unit, there was nothing to pump out.

Then after a while, the LED light went out (at one point, there were 3 beeps at this time), and the dishwasher quit whatever it was doing. Nothing else transpired after that point. I am confused.

What I need is someone to tell me what buttons to push, when and in what order and what to expect. This booklet leaves me completely out in left field. I don't understand it at all.

What I do not want to do is send this one back as well. I fear this is going to be an expensive experiment. I don't know what I am suppose to learn from it - except perhaps not to purchase appliances online. lol

Thanks for your reply. I really need more than that.
